Events
QUAX is not only and all about work, but also about play during the plenty of events that are spread out over the course of the year. As we are not a regionally bound club, we meet at different locations throughout Germany, usually our QUAX bases or during events we are invited to. These gatherings that are also posted on the website and kept up to date will give anybody a chance to meet the members or at least some of them and get the idea of QUAX. We are looking forward to any new faces to join our club and share the passion.

AUSMOTTEN! the training week of the QUAX Club...get ready for the season.
Like every year we are starting the season traditionally at the Bienenfarm airfield on the outskirts northwest of Berlin. We are spending a very intensive week together-any which way you look at it.
We are starting with our Inbriefing on Eastermonday at 20.00 at the Bienenkorb, the airfields own restaurant. All participants and the their spouses, kids, families should have arrived so we can get the Barbecue going. Usually we expect 80-100 members, most of them active of course, and they will fly their buds off during the week. The QUAXFARM, our codeword for the airfield, offers the best possibilities you can imagine and we use the time to get fit on all the planes anybody might want to fly during the season or one that someone wants to add to his list.
Catering is arranged at the airfield, we sleep in Caravans. motorhomes or book rooms in the neighborhood.
AUSMOTTEN ist THE best chance to meet most of the members, to get to know the bunch and get a feel for our mission and ideas. We usually fly until Saturday when a big open fire ends the week so we all have enough time on Sunday for the usual long way home.

Open Days at the HANGAR
As we are not a static museum with regular opening times but a club that is dedicated to the flying of those rare birds and the keepup, we are opening our HANGAR doors once or twice a your for the public the enjoy and learn about us.
In June 2021 we plan to open our Hangar doors so anybody can have a close look at our airplanes and various exhibits. Our members will be happy to answer all your questions and give you some detailed knowledge about the club and its mission. Food and drink will be availble so you all can enjoy a nice day out. Good weather assured, you will also be able to see and enjoy our fleet in the air. Admission 5 Euro, Kids under 14 years are free.
Should you be interested in a tour of the HANGAR, we do offer tours for parties of 15 or more at a competitive rate.

Für die Freunde des US-Fluggerätes wird die Farm für ein Wochenende zur Ranch
Wir können auch in dicke Sternmotoren. Ganz besonders an jedem ersten Juli Wochenende. Seit 6 Jahren entwickelt sich im Havelland allmählich eine schöne Tradition: ein Treffen historischer Flugzeuge aus amerikanischer Produktion.
The FlyIn is in good old american fashion and we host cars and motorbikes while we expect around 50-60 airplanes to join the weekend. The typical american catering with burgers, hot dogs and beer accompanied by the correct music makes for an unforgettable weekend. You can pitch a tent under the wing or use the hotel shuttles provided for your convenience.

Quiet we can be! The QUAX gliderpilots are inviting everybody for a week of gliderflying at the Bienenfarm airfield, come join us with your glider or fly of our planes.
Da etabliert sich was: Bereits seit einigen Jahren während unserer Ausmotten Woche und in 2019 und 2020 bei unseren ersten offiziellen "LeiseQuax"-Segelflugtagen erfolgreich getestet, wollen wir im Juli wieder eine reine Segelfugwoche auf unserer Quaxfarm verbringen. EASTERNBloc Fly-In 2021

Aufgrund der hohen Infektionszahlen darf das Event Anfang Mai auch mit Hygienekonzept nicht durchgeführt werden. Daher ist das Ostblock Fly-In 2021 auf unseren Ausweichtermin 5.-8. August 2021 verschoben und wird mit dem thematisch passenden europ. AN-2 Treffen kombiniert.
Take two: FlyIn for all the aircraft primarily flown in the former Eastern Block at Bienenfarm, which actually used to be an agricultural airfield used by the GST during the cold war.
We had a blast during the first EASTBlock FlyIn in 2019 and the exceptionally good reception lead us to a second round in 2020. Hopefully we can establish it as an annual event:
We are inviting all Yaks, Zlins, Antonovs,Suchois,Aeros, PZL or any other aircraft from those days in the East to the Quaxfarm to spend a joyful weekend with lots of flying with family and friends.

Int. Antonov AN-2 Treffen 2021

THE event for all fans of the famous fat ANNA, the biggest biplane in the world!
Wir freuen uns ganz besonders, dass die europäische AN-2-Gemeinde uns nach dem ausgefallenen Anlauf im Corona-Jahr 2020 nun in 2021 geschlossen besuchen möchte! Das traditionelle jährliche Typentreffen wird bei uns auf "der Farm" stattfinden: Wie immer kommen die AN-2-Kutscher Anfang August zusammen und damit ist dieses Fly-In neben unserem jährlichen Ostblock-Fly-In in diesem Jahr das 2. stilechte "Ost-Event". :-)
Anybody interested is welcome, no matter which way you are planning to show up.

Herbstfliegen 2021

Saisonausklang mit einer Woche Fliegen, Feiern und Fachsimpeln.
Das Ausmotten zum Saisonstart ist seit über einem Jahrzehnt fest etabliert und wenn Corona etwas gebracht hat, dann dass wir gemerkt haben, dass man sich auch einfach 2x im Jahr zu einer Trainingswoche treffen kann. Und dass der Herbst sich hier vorzüglich eignet. Und dass das Fliegen, Feiern und Zusammensein zum Ausklang der Saison genauso viel Spaß macht wie zum Saisonauftakt.
Das Programm ist entsprechend das gleiche wie beim Ausmotten: Fliegen, Fliegen, Fliegen und jeden Abend Lagerfeuer, Biergarten und Kaltgetränke. Die Verpflegung erfolgt direkt am Platz, Unterbringungen geht vom Wohnwagen über einfache Herberge bis zum Landgut, je nach Geschmack und Geldbeutel.
Das Herbstfliegen ist wie auch das Ausmotten eine super Gelegenheit für Neumitglieder, sich im Verein einzuleben und andere Mitglieder kennen zu lernen.

No Club without the annual Boardmeeting. All members are invited to the QUAX HANGAR like every year.
Every year once the flying season has come to an end for most of the fleet we invite the members to the annual Board Meeting. All the members young and old are invited and anybody who might be a joiner in the future. We are reviewing the past year, have a lookout into what might be on the horizon and try to have a good time with a good meal and drinks in our Glashangar.
As per our statutes the invitations will be delivered timely via email or regular mail. Any topics that might be of interest even to individual members can and will be addressed, this is the time to take the chance andmake your voice heard.

the most important dates in the winter-besides Christmas!
An den ersten Wochenenden der Monate Dezember bis März treffen wir uns im Quax Hangar Paderborn, um unsere Vereinsflugzeuge zu pflegen und fit für die neue Saison zu machen. Zudem nutzen wir diese Wochenenden, um uns auch in den Wintermonaten zu Treffen und Auszutauschen. Eine kurze Anmeldung via Whatsapp oder Mail ist sinnvoll, um die Essens und Getränke Versorgung zu gewährleisten :-)
Wer sich für unseren Verein interessiert und mit einer Mitgliedschaft liebäugelt: Diese Wochenenden sind auch ideal, um einmal hinter die Kulissen zu schauen, ein paar Leute kennenzulernen und sich ein Bild zu machen.
Eingebettet in die Schrauber-Wochenenden sind unsere Theoretischen Ausbildungspakete. Dies sind im Winterhalbjahr 2019/20 die Themenbereiche Motoren und Holzbau. Infos hierzu kann unser Ausbildungsleiter Matthias geben.

Cinequax 2020

Raclette + movies = CINEQUAX! After a break we had a successful restart in 2019 and due to the overwheling reponse we will mark it in our calendar for 2020
All it takes is a beautiful Glashangar filled with even more beautiful plane, some tables with Raclette machines a really big beamer and good sound equipment and a lot of members!
We also offer AN-2 sightseeing flights from Friday until Sunday. Experience these iconic Eastern-built aircraft live and with all your senses, and along the way gain a truly unusual perspective of the beautiful Havelland.
