Aircraft

Metall or wood, radial engine, inline or opposed engines, cotton, ceconite or aluminum.... we are caught and trapped by the old stuff. NOt only the fascinating technical history of the aircraft, how to work on them or the special almost forgotten materials used..... our members are a special bunch of people dedicated to historic aviation and antique airplanes. Aviation’s barnstorming days , we try to keep the memory young, present and liveable.

Club Airplanes

Vereinsflugzeuge

Our aircraft are our main motivation. Each of them requires very special attention, sometimes completely different from the next one and it is always an enormously gratifyting feeling to get them bak in the wir, where they belong. Any active member who is licensed and qualified can fly our historic aircraft after a thorough checkout with one of our instructors.

Club owned projects

Club Projects

We are not a static museum. All of our aircraft either fly or are on their way back to airworthiness. Our projects can be very demanding and time consuming. We need a lot of patience to find the right parts, sometimes find somebody with the required knowledge, and sometimes we just don’t get anywhere as hard as we might try. Giving up is not a solution though so some projects really take a lot from all of us. But eventually we can see the silver lining on the horizon and things fall into place, and even if it has taken years, ate the end we are proud to have saved another rare aircraft from it’s destiny. Our mission is finally fulfilled. Here are some moe informations about the projects the club has achieved so far.Projekten

Needless to say, QUAX provides an ideal platform for any member who wants to own his own airplane, be it historic or just something to get around. If anybody needed some little push in the right direction, we can help with some persuasive arguments. Here is a [list]of private planes of our members.(/flugzeuge/mitgliedsflugzeuge/ "Flugzeuge von Vereinsmitgliedern")
