On of the clubs core missions is the support of the next generation of classic aviation pilots as one way of spreading the passion for historic aviation. We choose to develop a system where we sponsor young individuals, who might not be able to afford flying at all, and support them on their way to gaining a pilots license. That way they will be able to fly our old planes at a fairly young age. A priviledge many of us had to get quite old for. Hopefully that will lay a good groundwork for the clubs future years.
One of the requirements for becoming part of our Young Eagle support group is that you engage in the various events over the year and become an active part of the QUAX family. Once you have started your professional life and have an adequate income, or once you turn 30, you are expected to pay back part of the support you received that in return will help support other young eagles.
